About TourneyTrip
TourneyTrip tells youth sports parents one thing fast: does this tournament make you book its hotel, and if not, where should you stay? It is free, and prices are the same as anywhere else.
What each tournament page shows
- Whether the tournament uses "stay-to-play," meaning families must book through its hotel partner. The rule is quoted from the official source.
- The closest hotels by real drive time to the venue. Hotel data comes from OpenStreetMap. Drive times are computed with OSRM.
- A Housing Fairness score, computed only from the tournament's published rules.
- Reports and ratings from parents who attended.
- A trip cost calculator with every assumption visible and editable.
Who runs it
TourneyTrip is operated by Hive Asset Group, LLC.
How we make money
We earn hotel affiliate commissions through Stay22 when a family books on the open market. Stay22 covers hotels and Vrbo rentals. If you book through a tournament's required housing portal, we earn nothing. The full details are in the affiliate disclosure.
What money cannot buy
Payment never changes a score, a rating or a ranking. Hotels are ranked only by drive time and parent ratings. The process that ranks hotels never sees commission data.
Who it is for
TourneyTrip is for adults 18 and older. We never publish children's names, rosters or photos.
How we keep it accurate
AI tools help gather facts and draft pages. Every fact is then checked against official sources by a second, independent check before it is published. Each fact shows its source and the date it was checked. Our editorial policy explains the process.
