Roseau MN Youth Hockey Tournaments 2026-27: Dates, Rinks and Hotel Rules

Roseau Youth Hockey lists 11 tournaments for 2026-27, from Nov 20, 2026 to Feb 7, 2027. The host pages we read on Oct 15, 2026 state no hotel requirement.

Which Roseau tournaments run in 2026-27?

The host runs one tournament a weekend from Nov 20 to Feb 7, with a few weekends skipped. Every page lists a $1300 fee per team.

Four pages say the tournament is full: Bantam B, Bantam A and AA, and both Peewee A weekends. We found no full notice on the others, but the host page is the place to confirm.

Three of the dates sit on holidays. Aaron Broten is Thanksgiving weekend, Dave Wensloff starts on New Year's Day, and John Wensloff is MLK weekend with the holiday on Monday Jan 18.

The Lew Erickson page says "Girls 12U A" while the host's schedule list says "12U A". Confirm the level with the host if it matters to your roster.

What is the Ricky Brunell date conflict?

The host lists two different dates for the Ricky Brunell Bantam A tournament, so we are not printing either. The program page prints a year that does not match the other 2026-27 pages. We have not added this one to our own listings until the host fixes it.

Read the host page and ask before you book a room. A refundable reservation is the safe choice until the host fixes it.

What does the housing rule say?

The host pages state no hotel requirement. Every Roseau program page we read says the same single line: "Lodging accommodations will be communicated to teams in mid-October."

That is a promise of information, not a rule. Our records mark stay-to-play as "unclear" for all 11, not "none."

Several pages add that a Roseau manager will contact teams one month before the tournament with more details. As of Oct 15, the mid-October update may land soon. Ask your own manager what your team has been told, and get the answer in writing.

If a team ever tells you to use a specific hotel, ask where that is written. Our Book Anywhere page covers booking on your own.

Where are the games played?

Most host pages list the location as "North Rink Roseau, MN 56751." The Dick Johnson page lists only "Roseau, Minnesota."

The host's arena page names Memorial Arena and North Rink, both at 321 2nd Ave NW, Roseau, MN 56751. It describes Memorial Arena as a 1,000 seat arena built in 1949 with a wood frame arch, and North Rink as a second rink next to it.

Our venue record treats the two as one site with two sheets. The host schedule is an image that we could not read as text, so we cannot tell you which sheet any game uses. Check your game rink on the team schedule.

The host's arena page also lists Ram's Sports Center at 809 6th St NE. None of the tournament pages we read name it.

Which hotels are near the rinks?

Our venue data lists three lodging properties within 3 minutes of the arena. These are our drive-time estimates from OpenStreetMap data on Oct 15, 2026, and the host names none of them.

That is a short list. We found no sourced details on pools, breakfast or parking, and no room blocks.

Call and ask about team rooms, the cancellation window and late arrival before you pay.

What should parents check?

Check the entry fee and weekend with your manager first. The fee is $1300 per team on every page, and no page we read states a refund rule.

Then check these before booking a room:

• Ask the manager in writing whether the team has any hotel instruction for your weekend.
• Choose a room with a free cancellation date after your team is confirmed.
• Confirm your weekend and level on the host page, since the host sets the dates.
• Ask the host, through the scheduling contact on each program page, about game times.

Driving in northern Minnesota in January is slower than the map says. Add time for winter roads and check the forecast before a Friday start.
