What to know
Bismarck runs four Capitals Cup weekends: Bantam B in early December, Peewee B in mid December, Squirt on Jan 8 to 10 and Girls on Feb 5 to 7. Each division is capped at 8 to 12 teams.
The host calls these stay-to-play events and uses the Bismarck-Mandan Convention & Visitors Bureau as its housing bureau. The rules say teams are encouraged to use it and that all reservations must go through its portal. The Bantam page calls the hotels optional. We found no penalty.
The housing bureau closes on set dates: Nov 3 for Bantam, Nov 10 for Peewee, Dec 1 for Squirt and Jan 1 for the Girls weekend.
Entry is $1,400 per team, except Squirt and 10UB Girls at $1,200. Checking is listed as Yes only for the Bantam divisions. The host lists Capital Ice Complex and the VFW Sports Center as its arenas.
