What to know
Can I book my own hotel? Not from beyond 60 miles (checked 2026-10-23): CAN/AM states that out of town teams more than 60 miles from Seattle must reserve rooms and stay at one of its authorized hotels. The event runs Fri Feb 12 to Sun Feb 14, 2027. On the Out of Town Package tab the host charges "$50 per room night short" when an out of town team (more than 60 miles away) falls under the 20 room night minimum. The tab also says rates are valid "until 60 days prior to the event," a rate cutoff, and that uninsured reservations are non-refundable.
The rule applies to teams more than 60 miles away, as the host wrote it. Teams within 60 miles pay the Local Team Fee of $2,600 per team. The host says games are played at Kraken Community Iceplex and nearby rinks, without naming them, and the schedule comes out about one week before the event.
