The housing rule
The tournament has a “stay to play” policy. Each team registering for the tournament are required to make hotel reservations with one of the Official Host Hotels to be eligible to participate in either tournament.

- Teams with a signed hotel contract can email a copy and USA CUP will try to incorporate those rooms into the approved list
- Dormitory packages (University of Minnesota, University of Northwestern, Concordia St. Paul) are offered as a lodging option, first come, first serve
- Target USA CUP says it will work with teams with a special situation

Refund policy: Teams dropping from either tournament prior to June 1 will receive a voucher for the team fee and dorm deposit, if applicable, paid at time of application. Source.
What to know
The rules say every team must book an Official Host Hotel to be eligible, and the approved list comes from Target USA CUP. You need a team ID first, and the page says teams get an email once accepted.
The lodging page says to plan on $149 to $209 plus tax per room per night, depending on the property. Event Connect sets up the hotel blocks.
Dorms are offered at three campuses (University of Minnesota, University of Northwestern, Concordia St. Paul). The weekend dorm packages list $325 to $340 per person and the week packages $545 to $590, with a $150 team deposit.
Weekend is July 9 to 11 and Week is July 13 to 17, 2027. Applications open Nov 1, 2026, and a team that has a signed hotel contract can send it in for review.
