The housing rule
All teams are mandated to book any hotel reservations through 288 Travel to insure their place in the 2027 Jefferson Cup. Any teams that do not comply will be at risk of forfeiting their acceptance.
Exemptions the rules list
- Local Richmond teams or teams commuting to Richmond for the weekend do not have to stay in hotels but must contact 288 Travel or the Tournament Director to request exemption approval
- Commuting is defined as 75 miles between the club's mailing address and the team's scheduled field complex

Refund policy: Entry fees are nonrefundable once a team is accepted. Teams can buy event cancellation insurance through Vertical Insure in their GotSport account up to 15 days before their weekend. Source.
What to know
The 2027 Jefferson Cup is four separate events, starting with the Boys Weekend on Feb 27 and 28 for U9 to U14. The Girls Weekend (U9 to U14) follows on March 6 and 7.
The Girls Showcase for U15 to U19 runs March 12 to 14, and the Boys Showcase for U15 to U19 runs March 19 to 21. U16 to U19 teams play one game each on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and U15 may choose showcase or tournament format.
The rules page says teams must book hotels through 288 Travel, the official hospitality service, or risk losing their acceptance. Local teams and teams within 75 miles of their complex can ask 288 Travel or the Tournament Director for an exemption.
The hotel page says booking links open only for accepted teams, and the 2027 links are marked coming soon. The Nov 1 application deadline applies to all four weekends, with entry fees from $1,000 to $1,900 by age group, and fees are nonrefundable once accepted.
