What to know
Summer Cup runs June 4 to 6, 2027, Friday through Sunday, at HyVee Arena, 1800 Genessee St in Kansas City, MO 64102. Entry is $395 per team with 3 games guaranteed for boys 9U-14U.
The page says teams "can book their hotels through Prep Network's SaveAndPlay," then adds that teams traveling more than 90+ miles "will be required to book a minimum of 8 reservations for the weekend."
Summer Cup is a Coast 2 Coast Preps event, and the policy's Coast 2 Coast marquee and finals list names only Winter Finals and National Finals. The policy calls SaveAndPlay optional for events off its marquee list, with no distance rules. The page and the policy disagree, so the status stays unclear.
Two nights is the minimum for Friday to Sunday, our calculation. Courtyard Kansas City Downtown/Convention Center, Residence Inn, Hotel Indigo and Hotel Kansas City are all 4 minutes from the arena.
