What to know
Midwest Extravaganza runs May 21 to 23, 2027, Friday through Sunday, at Waukegan Fieldhouse, 800 Baldwin Ave in Waukegan, IL 60085. Entry is $550 per team with 4 games guaranteed for girls 10U-17U. The page lists a second site, Canlan Sports Barrington, 28156 W Northpointe Pkwy in Barrington, IL 60010, and does not say which games go where.
On lodging, the registration page leans toward a requirement for long-haul teams: more than 90+ miles means "a minimum of 8 reservations for the weekend" through SaveAndPlay. The booking link itself is worded as an option for teams wanting "the most cost effective hotels."
The housing policy calls SaveAndPlay mandatory only for its marquee list, and this event is missing from it. For everything else it says optional, no distance rules, no exemption forms. Because the page says otherwise, we rate it unclear.
For planning, Midwest Extravaganza needs 2 nights at the minimum, our calculation. The closest hotel in our list to the first venue, Days Inn Waukegan, is 2 minutes by car (0.7 miles), and Days Inn Waukegan, Motel 6 Waukegan and Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Waukegan Gurnee are all within 4 minutes.
