What to know
MI College Tour Session III - Wayne State runs May 21 to 23, 2027, Friday through Sunday. Entry is $550 per team with 3 games guaranteed for girls 10U-17U. The host page lists two gyms, both for 14U to 17U: Wayne State University, 5101 John C Lodge Fwy in Detroit, MI 48208, and the University of Michigan Dearborn Fieldhouse, 4901 Evergreen Rd in Dearborn, MI 48128. The page names no venue for 10U to 13U. Only Wayne State has a venue page here.
The hotel note on the page invites teams to use SaveAndPlay, then says teams more than 90+ miles out "will be required to book a minimum of 8 reservations for the weekend." Detroit teams inside that radius are not mentioned.
This is the third session of the Michigan tour, and unlike the marquee boys events its page has no opt-out form language. Prep Network's policy calls non-marquee SaveAndPlay optional with no distance rules, which conflicts with the page. We mark it unclear; ask the host before booking direct.
A Friday to Sunday weekend means 2 nights, our calculation. Hotel drive times here are from Wayne State only. Five of our listed hotels, led by Pinkinn Motel and The Inn on Ferry Street, are 4 minutes by car from the campus, and all 12 are within 6 minutes.
