North Community Park is a 38-acre park at 5601 Coral Springs Drive in Coral Springs, Florida, according to MapQuest. ParkMagnet calls it the largest park in the city and lists four regulation-size baseball fields, two Olympic-size soccer/football fields and a 1.75-mile trail. The sources disagree on a few details, such as acreage and whether dogs are allowed, so confirm with the city before you go.

Quick version

  • Where: 5601 Coral Springs Drive, Coral Springs, FL, per MapQuest.
  • Size: 38 acres in ParkMagnet and MapQuest. A third site lists a different figure (see the table below).
  • Hours: ParkMagnet says the park stays open until 10:30 PM on weekdays and Saturdays, and until 10 PM on Sundays.
  • Dogs: The sources conflict. Check posted signs or ask the city.
  • North Carolina girls soccer showcase: a separate event in the Greater Raleigh area, not at this park. The host's page lists the Girls Junior Showcase for November 7 to 8, 2026, with a required hotel rule.

This page is a hub for three searches that share one word: "north." Two are about the same Florida park. The third is about a soccer event in North Carolina. They are unrelated, and we keep them in separate sections.

Coral Springs North Community Park: what is there

The sources describe a large sports park. Here is what each one lists.

Ball fields and courts

  • Four regulation-size baseball fields and two Olympic-size soccer/football fields. ParkMagnet adds that the soccer/football fields double as lacrosse fields when needed.
  • Lit fields for baseball, softball, soccer and football, per MapQuest.
  • Two full basketball courts and one half court, per ParkMagnet.
  • Two dedicated tennis and pickleball courts, per ParkMagnet.
  • A sand volleyball court. ParkMagnet says it sits partially shaded by trees.

Everything else

  • A two-story community building and restrooms within the grounds, per ParkMagnet.
  • Restrooms and concession stands, a family playground, picnic areas and barbecue grills, per MapQuest.
  • Paved walking and jogging trails around lakes and canals, per MapQuest.
  • Parking, per MapQuest.

If you are a parent looking at this park for a team event, none of these pages say which tournaments use it. Hotel and housing rules come from the event, not the park. Look up the event itself.

North Community Park Coral Springs FL: hours, dogs and trail details

These are the details that vary most between listings. We read three sites and they do not match.

Detail What the source says Source
Size 38 acres ParkMagnet
Size A 38-acre recreational facility MapQuest
Size 35.9 acres Pacer
Trail A 1.75-mile jogging and rollerblade trail ParkMagnet
Trail A network of trails totaling 0.8 miles Pacer
Dogs Not permitted within the park ParkMagnet
Dogs Listed as pet friendly MapQuest

Pacer sells a pedometer app, and its page promotes that app. Treat its route figures as the app's own measurements. Its page also says the park is near Pompano Beach, Florida, which is a loose description of a Coral Springs park.

On dogs, ParkMagnet says they are not permitted "despite what some online information might suggest." MapQuest lists the park as pet friendly. We cannot settle that from these sources.

My take: when listings conflict, the city's own page and the signs at the gate beat any aggregator. We did not have the city's page among our sources, so this is a judgment, not a sourced fact.

Other useful notes from the sources:

  • Pacer says the best season to walk the park is November to March.
  • ParkMagnet gives the hours above. Hours can change, so check before an evening game.

North Carolina girls soccer showcase 2026

This is a different search with a different answer. The showcase is hosted by North Carolina FC Youth, and its page describes a series that brings teams to the Greater Raleigh area. It is not connected to the Florida park above.

The host's schedule, from its showcase page:

Event Dates
Girls Junior Showcase November 7 to 8, 2026
Boys Junior Showcase November 14 to 15, 2026
Girls College Showcase November 20 to 22, 2026
Boys College Showcase December 11 to 13, 2026

The same page gives the size of the events:

The Junior Showcase has 265+ teams each weekend, and teams come from more than 16 states. That is the host's own description of the North Carolina FC Youth showcase series in the Raleigh area. The College Showcase has 580+ teams during Girls weekend and 475+ teams during Boys weekend, according to the host, North Carolina FC Youth. More than 500 college coaches attended the College Showcases last year, according to the host. The host estimates the showcases bring 72,000 visitors to the Greater Raleigh area, with $27.8 million in economic impact.

The visitor and economic figures are the host's own estimates, not independent counts.

The hotel rule

The host's page states the rule directly. We checked it on November 5, 2026:

All teams are required to "Stay to Play", which means teams must stay in a Team Travel Source-approved (NCFC's travel partner) hotel.

That is the host's published wording, on its own page. In plain terms, the page says the hotel is not optional for teams in the series. Our guide on what stay-to-play means explains the term. Our page on how to read a housing policy shows what to look for in the fine print.

If you think your family needs an exception, ask the host or your club in writing what the written rules allow. We do not give legal advice. If you have a legal question about housing requirements, ask an attorney.

How to check the housing rule for any tournament

The same steps work for the Raleigh showcase, a Florida baseball weekend or a hockey tournament.

  1. Find the host's official event page, not a third-party listing.
  2. Look for the words "stay to play," "housing," "required hotel" or "approved hotel."
  3. Copy the exact sentence and note the date you read it.
  4. Check whether the rule applies to all teams or only some divisions.
  5. Compare hotel prices and drive times before you book anything.
  6. Ask the host in writing if the rule is unclear.

Our trip cost guide covers what a tournament weekend adds up to. Our Book Anywhere list collects events with no hotel requirement. Our homepage lists 1286 tournaments checked, with the newest rule check on November 5, 2026.

One disclosure: hotel booking links on our site earn a commission through Stay22 at no extra cost to you. Commission never changes a score or ranking.

Where to go next

If your weekend is at a park like this one, the housing rule is the part most likely to cost you money. Look up your event and read the published rule before you pay a deposit. Check your tournament to see the rule we quoted, the date we checked it and the hotels by drive time.
