As of Oct 24, 2026, 10 of the 18 Georgia baseball tournaments in our data require Perfect Game lodging, and all 10 are at one park in Marietta. The other 8 print no hotel rule at all. None of the 18 say book anywhere.
Updated Oct 2026. Every rule below was copied from Perfect Game's own pages and checked between Oct 15 and Oct 26, 2026. Rules change, so read the live page before you pay a hotel anything.
All 18 are Perfect Game events, so this is really one host's policy plus a pile of events where the policy is not printed. Our Georgia baseball tournament list has each one.
How many Georgia baseball tournaments require the hotel?
10 of 18, or 56 percent, as of Oct 24, 2026. We count 10 as required, 0 as Book Anywhere and 8 as unclear.
| Status in our records | Tournaments | Where | Start dates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Required (Perfect Game Lodging Policy) | 10 | All 10 at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park at East Cobb, Marietta | Feb 19 to Jul 15, 2027 |
| Book Anywhere (host says pick any hotel) | 0 | None | None |
| Unclear (no rule printed on the event pages) | 8 | Pooler 3, Statesboro 2, Dublin 1, Springfield 1, Tifton 1 | Apr 3 to May 15, 2027 |
The split follows the park. Every East Cobb event in our data is required, and every event elsewhere in Georgia is unclear. Our Book Anywhere list has the events that say the opposite.
What does the Georgia rule say?
The wording is the same on all 10 required events, as of Oct 24, 2026. Teams traveling more than 100 miles from the host venue must book through Perfect Game's platform, EventConnect, or pay the Hotel Waiver Fee. Teams within 100 miles are "considered local and are exempt."
The fee formula is "(number of tournament days - 1) x $200." The policy adds that a non-compliant team "may be deemed ineligible for future Perfect Game events until the waiver fee is resolved." Our Perfect Game waiver fee post covers the formula in more detail.
Which weekends are busiest?
Three start dates have two Georgia tournaments each: Apr 17, Apr 24 and Jun 24, 2027. Every other start date has one.
On Apr 17, the Clash of the Champions in Dublin and the Georgia/Florida Showdown (AA) in Springfield both start. On Apr 24, the Peach State Shootout and the South Georgia Slugfest start. On Jun 24, the 13U 54/80 and 15U WWBA National Championships both start at East Cobb.
Example 1: PG Southeast Spring Season Opener, Feb 19 to 21, 2027
The first required event in our data starts Feb 19, 2027 at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park at East Cobb. The event page, checked Oct 24, 2026, says: "Event Lodging Required Perfect Game Lodging Policy is required for this event 8 Minimum Room Nights required to be compliant."
The lodging policy page, checked Oct 26, 2026, words the minimum as "an average of eight (8) rooms per night for the duration of the tournament."

Example 2: PG Southeast Spring Frost, Feb 26 to 28, 2027
The Southeast Spring Frost starts Feb 26, 2027 and carries the same 8 room night line. The record's exemption reads: "Teams located within 100 miles of the host venue are considered local and are exempt from the Perfect Game Lodging Policy requirement."
The event runs 3 days, so the formula gives (3 - 1) x $200 = $400 for a team over 100 miles that pays the waiver fee. That $400 is our arithmetic, not a printed price.

Example 3: PG For the Kids Classic, Mar 5 to 7, 2027
The For the Kids Classic starts Mar 5, 2027 and lists 13 divisions. Each carries the same lodging line: "Event Lodging Required Perfect Game Lodging Policy is required for this event 8 Minimum Room Nights required to be compliant."
The rule applies to teams past 100 miles. A team that is local under that distance is exempt as written.

Example 4: PG 17U/18U WWBA National Championship, Jun 15 to 20, 2027
The summer WWBA events raise the minimum. The 17U/18U championship starts Jun 15, 2027 and says: "Event Lodging Required Perfect Game Lodging Policy is required for this event 40 Minimum Room Nights required to be compliant."
The other four WWBA events in Georgia list 32 (13U 54/80) and 48 (15U, 16U, 17U). The formula on a 6-day event gives $1,000 by our math.

Example 5: PG Peach State Shootout, Apr 24 to 25, 2027
Not every Georgia event says. The Peach State Shootout page, checked Oct 26, 2026, says: "Any PG Affiliate run events, it is up to the directors of those tournaments to decide on housing."
It also says nationally run events make staying in a partner hotel mandatory, and it carries a Book Your Hotel link. The page does not say which kind this event is, so we keep it as unclear.

What about the 8 unclear events?
None of the 8 print a lodging policy block on the event pages we read, as of Oct 26, 2026. Seven show a Book Your Hotel link to EventConnect, and the South Georgia Slugfest shows none. A link is not a rule, so we did not count them as required.
Ask the director before you book. Our guide to reading a housing policy lists the questions.
