The 2027 Pacific Northwest Qualifier (PNQ) has three events: the 18's event on March 5-7, Week 1 on March 27-29 and Week 2 on April 2-4. It is played at four venues around Spokane, Washington, and the sources we read do not state a hotel rule for teams. This page also covers the JVA Boys National Championship, the hockey nationals and one event we could not source.

Quick version

PNQ volleyball 2027: dates and venues

PNQ is one of USA Volleyball's national qualifying tournaments. The same page says it is governed by USA Volleyball rules and is a mandated 3-day tournament. The dates below come from the tournament's own officials page.

Event Dates Age groups listed
18's event March 5-7 (Fri-Sun) 18's
Week 1 March 27-29 (Sat-Mon) 11's, 12's, 15's-17's
Week 2 April 2-4 (Fri-Sun) 13's-15's

One caution. The Visit Spokane listing is titled U11-14, while the officials page groups the ages as shown above. Confirm your age group's weekend with the tournament before you plan travel. That is our advice, not a sourced rule.

Where PNQ is played

The Spokane Convention Center, The Podium, Eastern Washington University and the HUB Sports Center host play. The Visit Spokane listing gives addresses:

The HUB is in Liberty Lake, not Spokane proper. If your team plays at more than one site, check drive times before you pick a hotel. Spectator admission is listed at $15 - $35. The listing does not say what each price covers, so check the tournament's ticket details.

What the PNQ pages say about hotels

The officials page offers complimentary shared hotel accommodations for 3 nights to officials who work all three days. That applies to officials. It says nothing about team housing. We found no published team housing rule on either PNQ page. We will not say whether teams must use a particular hotel, because we have no published rule to quote.

JVA Boys National Championship 2027

The 2027 JVA Boys National Championship is in St. Louis, Missouri, at the America's Center Convention Complex and The Dome. It runs June 26 through July 3, 2027. The page adds that July 4-7 may be added if more waves are needed. In our view, that is a reason to keep return travel flexible until the schedule is final.

The key details from the JVA page:

Costs the JVA page lists

The JVA Background Screen and Trusted Coach Training are $27 per person per year and are valid for one year. Club Director Membership is $130 per year. Those are the figures on the page. We did not find a hotel rate or a team housing rule there.

Two logistics notes from the same page. No outside food, beverage or tailgating is allowed, and no coolers. A Southwest Airlines discount is listed as valid for travel June 26, 2027 to July 5, 2027. Read the discount terms on the JVA page before you count on it.

JVA nationals 2027

This search most likely points to the same event. The only JVA national page in our research is the boys championship above. We have no source for other JVA national events, so we do not list dates or cities for them. If your player is in a different JVA division, look for that event on the JVA site.

Hockey nationals 2027

USA Hockey says 11 cities in seven states will host the 2027 national tournaments. It also says more than 7,500 players compete across youth, girls, high school, adult, sled and warrior classifications. The table covers the divisions our sources list.

The table is not the full list of classifications. Check the official nationals site for your division. For context, Shattuck-St. Mary's won the Youth Tier I 18U title in 2026, beating the Boston Jr. Eagles 5-3 in Las Vegas.

Neither hockey page we read quotes a housing rule for teams. That does not mean there is none. It means we cannot state one from these sources.

Red Rock Rave in Las Vegas 2027

We have no official source for this event in our research. So we are not giving dates, a venue, fees or a housing rule. Guessing would risk sending you to the wrong weekend.

For any event we cannot source, use the organizer's own site. Look for a dated schedule, a venue address and a written housing or hotel policy.

How to check the hotel rule before you book

Schedules are easy to find. The housing rule is the part parents miss. Here is a short routine.

  1. Find the event's official housing or hotel policy on the organizer's site.
  2. Read whether it says teams must book through the event. Our guide on how to read a housing policy covers the wording to watch for.
  3. Write down the date you read it. Policies change.
  4. Price the full weekend, not just the room. Our trip cost guide lists the pieces to add up.
  5. Ask the organizer in writing if the policy is unclear. If the written rules allow an exemption, you can ask for it.

Our home page shows 1259 tournaments checked, with the newest rule check on Nov 2, 2026. Our email alerts can tell you when something changes. This article is not legal advice. If you have a question about a contract, ask an attorney.

Where to start

Pick the event your team is entering, then confirm the dates and the housing rule from the organizer's own pages. If you want to see whether we have the rule on file, Check your tournament and read the policy and the date we checked it.
