USSSA Baseball Stay to Play Rules for 2027: 32 Events, Each Rule Quoted

As of Oct 18, 2026, we hold 32 USSSA baseball events with a housing rule on record: 18 required, 7 Book Anywhere and 7 unclear. Every rule is quoted below.

We read the USSSA page for each of the 32 events on Oct 18, 2026. Each quote is copied from the page named in the Source column.

Book Anywhere is our label for events with no required hotel. Unclear means the page posts no rule we can quote as a requirement or a release. The table runs by date, starting with the October 31, 2026 events.

Some of the pages that carry the platform notice add a line saying that using the platform keeps registration fees from increasing. Where a quote ends before that line, we cut it for length only. The Elf Games quote starts after the event name because the host page puts a dash in that name, and we keep dashes out of this post.

How many USSSA baseball events require a hotel?

Eighteen of the 32 carry a book-through rule as of Oct 18, 2026. Seven are Book Anywhere and seven are unclear. We counted these with a script over our USSSA baseball records.

The USSSA softball records are a separate set of 10, and this post does not cover them. This post covers only the 32 baseball events in our records, not every USSSA baseball event.

What does the USSSA platform notice say?

Twelve Florida pages share one lodging notice, read on Oct 18, 2026. It says "cities are now requiring non-local teams to book through our USSSA platform for accurate event reporting."

The pages do not define local. None of the twelve pages states a penalty, a booking deadline or a room-night minimum. That is what the pages leave out, not a statement from USSSA.

The two Ripken Nationals pages differ. The November 2026 page, like Battle for the Belts, says all participating teams and attendees must book through the designated housing provider. Neither page states a penalty or an exemption. Four more events use that designated housing provider wording: East Coast Florida State Championship, Space Coast Toys for Tots, Thanksgiving Super NIT and The Elf Games.

What does Gulfport say?

The Gulfport Global World Series page answers its stay-to-play question "Yes." and adds: "Teams requiring hotel accommodations must book through the approved event housing program." The page does not say which teams require hotel rooms, and it names no partner or penalty, so ask your team contact before you book.

Which USSSA events are Book Anywhere?

Seven events are Book Anywhere as of Oct 18, 2026: Panama City Beach World Series Weeks 1 and 2, Pensacola Beach World Series Weeks 1 and 2, Holiday Home Run, Marucci Belt Battle 2K26 and West Florida Elite. The first four are in June 2027. The other three are in November and December 2026.

The Panama City Beach FAQ pages for both weeks say: "No. This event is not a Stay-to-Play event." The Pensacola pages for both weeks answer "NO, you may stay wherever you like" to the question of staying at a certain property or paying a fee to opt out.

The Holiday Home Run page says "TEAMS CAN STAY WHERE THEY WANT" and the West Florida Elite page says teams can stay where they want but links a discounted hotel partner. The Marucci page says teams can stay where they like and points to a hotel partner that offers discounts to USSSA teams.

What does Book Anywhere mean for a family?

On Oct 18, 2026, the seven Book Anywhere pages did not tie entry to a hotel. The room is the family's call.

A family can pick a hotel, a rental or a relative's couch based on price, distance and the team's plans. Ask your coach what the team is doing, since a team plan is not the same as an event rule.

What about the unclear events?

Seven events post no rule we can fairly call a requirement or a release as of Oct 18, 2026. That does not mean there is no rule. It means we could not quote one.

Aggieland, Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola Week 3 each link a hotel search and state no housing rule. So do the Panhandle State Championship and the Space Coast Fall Brawl, which link a hotel search for each ballpark. Freddy vs Jason and Pick-Up-Palooza post no housing rule on the event page. Email the host before you book if your team is going to one of these.

What should a parent still check?

Ask your team contact which category your event falls in, and send them the source link from the table. Then read the live event page, since dates, prices and housing wording can change.
