The housing rule
In order for a non-local team to be accepted into the tournament, they need to be utilizing an Approved Tournament Hotel booked through The THS Company. This means that you may not book the hotel directly, through another travel agent, or through a 3rd party
Exemptions the rules list
- Local teams within 50 miles of the Minneapolis Convention Center (a team with less than 80% of its players within 50 miles is not local)
Housing partner
THS (Tournament Housing Services)
What to know
USA Volleyball lists three weekends in 2027 at the Minneapolis Convention Center: Jan 29 to 31, March 5 to 7, and March 12 to 14. Weekend 1 is 17s and 18s, weekend 2 is mostly 14s to 16s, and weekend 3 is 11s to 13s plus some 14s and 16s.
The host uses a Stay and Play policy again this year. Each team needs a minimum of 15 room nights, which is 5 rooms for 3 nights, booked through THS at an approved hotel.
The rules say there is no buyout and no waiver. The only exemption is for local teams within 50 miles of the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Hotel booking opened September 28 for teams that have entered and paid the entry fee.
