Teams traveling more than 100 miles from the primary host venue are required to secure hotel accommodations through Perfect Game's official lodging platform, EventConnect, or pay the designated Hotel Waiver Fee. Hotel Waiver Fee formula: (number of tournament days - 1) x $200. If a team is found to be non-compliant after being scheduled, the team may be deemed ineligible for future Perfect Game events until the waiver fee is resolved.

Yes. Both PGKC Royals Rumble level pages we read (7U Open and 12U AA), checked 2026-10-25, say the Perfect Game lodging policy is required with 8 minimum room nights. Teams more than 100 miles from the field must book through EventConnect or pay the Hotel Waiver Fee, per Perfect Game's policy page. Teams within 100 miles are exempt. By our calculation from the (days - 1) x $200 formula, a three-day event comes to $400, which is not a printed figure. The policy page's own table lists 16 room nights for a 3-day event, while the level pages print 8.
Perfect Game's location list also shows the 3&2 Baseball Club West Complex in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, so some Royals Rumble games may not be at the East Complex. Check your assigned field before booking, since our drive times start at the East Complex.
