JVA Volleyball Tournaments 2027: No Stay-to-Play Rule at 7 Events in Our Data

As of Oct 22, 2026, none of the 7 JVA hosted 2027 volleyball events in our data require a hotel booking. All 7 say JVA has no stay to play policy and encourage Team Travel Source (TTS). Booking elsewhere is not penalized in any rule text we found.

JVA also lists the Windy City Round-Up (Chicago, Jun 11 to 13, 2027) and the Boys National Championship (St. Louis, Jun 26 to Jul 3, 2027). They are not in our data yet, so we did not read their housing pages.

We read each JVA page between Oct 15 and Oct 22, 2026, so a rule may have changed since. Nothing here is a ruling on your team.

What do the 7 JVA events say about hotels?

As of Oct 22, 2026, every JVA hosted event in our data prints the same sentence about housing. It reads: "JVA does not have a stay to play policy; however, teams and families are encouraged to book their hotel accommodations through TTS."

The events run from Jan 9 to May 31, 2027, in 5 states. The rule column below is our label for what the page says, and the host link has the full text.

How many JVA events require booking through the event?

As of Oct 22, 2026, 0 of the 7 in our data require it and all 7 allow any hotel. In our data, that makes JVA hosted events the opposite of most girls qualifiers, where 22 of 24 require event housing.

For that comparison, see our post on 2027 girls volleyball qualifier housing rules. It also lists the Louisville World Challenge and 18U National Championship in its national championship table.

None of the 7 pages prints a housing penalty, a room-night minimum or a local-team exemption.

Which JVA events have housing open now?

As of Oct 22, 2026, three pages say TTS housing is open. The World Challenge and 18U National Championship in Louisville both say housing opened Oct 14, 2026 at 11 A.M. CT.

JVA SummerFest in Columbus opened Oct 14, 2026 at 1 P.M. CT through TTS. We found no closing date for any of the three.

The Rock 'N Rumble page lists separate TTS links for weekend 1 (Jan 9 to 10) and weekend 2 (Jan 16 to 18). Brew City Battle does the same for Jan 23 to 24 and Jan 30 to 31. Pick the link for your weekend.

What about The Wall in Mesa?

As of Oct 29, 2026, The Wall, a boys event on Sep 4 to 5, 2027 in Mesa, AZ, is tagged "JVA Event" on the Arizona Athletic Grounds calendar. We did not find it on JVA's own event list, so we did not count it in the 7.

Its hotel page says: "All Teams attending Arizona Athletic Grounds are encouraged to book their accommodations by submitting their hotel block/booking requests via the booking engine built into the EventConnect system." The page also says: "We highly encourage all hotel activity take place on this network." We mark it unclear.

What to check before you book

Read the line as written. "Encouraged" is the word JVA uses, and the pages we read contain no stronger one.

Ask your club director which hotel the team plans to use. Any team-room plan comes from the club, not from the JVA pages we read.

Check the cancellation terms of whichever hotel you pick. Our post on hotel cancellation policies covers what to look for.

For TTS questions, the JVA pages list volleyball@teamtravelsource.com and 502-354-9103.

Find your event

Search the tournament finder for your JVA event. Each page shows the quoted rule, the date we checked it and a link to the host.

Events that say Book Anywhere are on the Book Anywhere list.
